The discovery API returns a ranked slice, not the index, so new sellers read a false 'not indexed' forever. Includes the undocumented authoritative check, the two Python-only steps TypeScript hides, and evidence that an external non-CDP payTo address does get indexed (resolves the open question in AAA-2476).
